[Cs-club-l] Seawolf Day Volunteers & Reminders

Hi Everyone,

Volunteers Needed Tomorrow: Seawolf Decision Day
This is a critical time for those that have received admissions letters in their decision to find if Sonoma State is the right place for them in the fall.
We need volunteers to help man labs, help with presentations that Dr.'s Rivoire and Watts are putting on, run our table, etc. The event is from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Come when you can and help out. You do not need to come for the entire event. Any time to help show off our major helps. We will also be showing off the iPad/Arduino/IR Sensor Grid Darwin Mapping project preliminary prototype which is a joint effort between Computer Science and Engineering in the afternoon.

Computer History Museum 4/20 @ 9AM, Meet at the flag pole:
Over break a few of us decided to check out the museum and were absolutely amazed with some of the great artifacts from the past of computing. Pieces of ENIAC, a Xerox PARC Alto, Google's first server, an Apple I signed by Woz are just a few of the great items on display. Also, they display daily a working Babbage Difference Engine which is a mechanical polynomial calculator. It is amazing to see. The cost is $12 for admission with a student ID. Also, please be considerate to the drivers and bring some gas money. Google is basically next door, so we may also hop over to take a photo in front of the Android statues!

Elections & Next Meeting 4/17 @ Noon in Darwin 25

Look forward to seeing you all soon!

Matt
